Since 1999, the entire month of May has been designated as a time to honor past and present military members and their families. This patriotic month reminds Americans to celebrate and pay tribute to those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.

Loyalty Day & Silver Star Banner Day

A day for reaffirmation of loyalty to the United States and recognition of American freedom. Also honors wounded, ill, and injured Veterans.

May 8

VE Day (Victory in Europe Day)

Commemorating the end of World War II on the European front in 1945, marking a pivotal moment in history.

May 9

Military Spouse Appreciation Day

Recognizing the service and sacrifices of military spouses who support our service members.

May 13

Children of Fallen Patriots Day

Honoring the children left behind by brave men and women who gave their lives defending our freedom.

May 17

Armed Forces Day

Paying tribute to men and women currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces across all branches.

Memorial Day
